The following material was organized/created by Stephen Cabe, a student at Indiana Wesleyan University majoiring Strategic Communications and Public Relations. While enrolled in a Communication Theory class, Stephen constructed material based on the theories presented in A First Look At Communication Theory by Em Griffen, Andrew Ledbetter, and Glenn Sparks. Most notably he applied George Lakoff's Contemporary Theory of Metaphor to several different real world artifacts including everyday conversation, television commercials, and rap music.
